BETH CROSLEY, Artist / Art Instructor

I’ve been teaching art to all ages throughout Southwest Florida since 2001. What began as a private drawing class has become a full-time career. I’ve taught privately and as an independent contractor for various organizations such as the City of Naples, the United Arts Council of Collier County, the Guadalupe Center in Immokalee, and the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County.

All the photos on this website are from classes or camps that I have taught. My programs are designed to teach art skills and introduce various media and techniques while focusing on and encouraging individual creative expression and inventive design. My hope is to foster an interest in the art-making process, leading to the self-realization of one’s own inventiveness, creativity, uniqueness and potential.

I have an A.A. Degree in Art from Edison Community College and also attended IU University and the Fort Wayne Art School in Fort Wayne IN. I’ve been a member of the Naples Art Association, the United Arts Council of Collier County and the Naples Artcrafters (where I also served on the Board of Directors and as Vice-President). I’ve exhibited my art in many art shows in Southwest Florida and sold my art in a local art boutique for several years.

“I wanted to thank you for opening the eyes, the creativity and love of all forms of art to my granddaughter, Madison. Madison has always loved art but through your summer art camp experiences at Fleischmann Park, you have created an art enthusiast who knows no bounds. Your love and dedication to art and teaching is reflected in the eyes of your students. Madison flourished with you and your camp and it is all she wants to do. Thank you for showing and teaching Madison to see things in such a bright and creative way. I strongly recommend to anyone, any age, to experience one of Beth’s art classes and be hooked for life!”        – Linda Perry, grandmother of Let’s Paint Summer Camp Student 2019

“My son took ‘You Can Draw’ camp and loved it. Not only did he have a nice afternoon and make some new friends, he learned skills that he is excited about using. It was a perfect fit for him. We hope to see you next year.”                                                                                                         – Lisa Barfield, mother of You Can Draw Summer Art Camp Student 2019

“I’ve always enjoyed my classes with Beth. She is always helpful with any problems you may be having with a painting. She is very organized and well prepared with new ideas to make art more interesting. She obviously has a deep passion for art and teaching others. Her work with children gets surprising results, even from the very young ones. She spends a lot of time researching new projects to keep interest high and art fun.”                                                                                 – Eunice Walker, Open Art Studio Artist 2012 – 2019

“I have come to Beth’s Open Art Studio for five years, each season when I am in Florida. Unlike other art teachers who feel a need to demonstrate and critique, Beth allows us to explore. She promotes an easy, collegial atmosphere where we all enjoy one another, and offer our ideas to one another, celebrating our common interest in and love for visual art. She has lots of experience and expertise, yet she offers it to us in the same spirit of co- creation that she builds in our class.”                                                                                                                                                                 – Susan Fletcher, Open Art Studio Artist 2015 – 2019
